… And FINALLY we present to you- MASQUERADE! 

...An artist who’s been years in the making and the story of how she came to be.

 

This intriguing young lady has been exposed to the ever- changing music industry since she was a teenager. Her biography could easily interweave the names of celebrities, prominent figures, and noteworthy venues that we all know. Instead, it says (almost in passing), “-she’s worked with the legends, sang background for the pop stars, and has been courted by the Presidents and VP’s of major labels. She’s sung the jingles, and theme songs- done the girl groups, even acted as the lead singer of a girl group in a musical!”… But what does any of that mean? And why don’t we all know her name?

These were the questions that birthed MASQUERADE.

 

Hailing from the land of possibilities, Masquerade infuses a raspy pop vocal, with a driving club beat, on a mission to take you on a melodious joy ride. You see, MASQUERADE is the “House” of many more musical personas to come. An artist of many talents, she is a natural storyteller, whose lyrics paint a picture, and evokes emotion as is evident in her first release on Ny-O Dae Music, “HIGHER”.

As her moniker suggests, there is allure in her style, channeling the Victorian era, mixed with the “funk” of today. She can oft-times be seen with a low tilted hat, wisped veil, or one of her distinctive masks adding the finishing touch to her mystery.

When asked what she hopes to accomplish in this industry, she replied as if almost casting a spell-

“…to inspire everyone, bumps and bruises, scars and all- to MASQUERADE and have a ball.”

Masquerade’s music is clearly a soundtrack to champion the underdog. Through her artistry you can unmistakably see that she believes that you don’t have to be ALL or nothing at all.
